Job Summary

The Pharmacy Biller is responsible for timely and accurate billing activities, including interactions with third party payers, and patients as well as maintaining accurate records. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Bill MB groups once fill lists are created.
• Change and rebill NDC’s.
• Contact insurance for reject/overrides.
• Create and follow up on prior authorizations.
• Contact patients for insurance issues.
• Collect copays.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills Qualifications 

• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively convey/summarizecomplex issues.
• Able to simultaneously manage and prioritize multiple complex projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and interacts well with peers, business, and compliance professionals andother third parties.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible.

Education Requirements 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Billing experience.

Preferred Skills and Education 

• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician.
